DVD
What is DVD?In
1997 DVD was introduced to the world. The DVD disc
that you receive from Absolute Coverage is 100% DVD
compliant as specified by the DVD Consortium, a group
comprised of ten companies who originated the DVD
format. As this technology is still evolving, bear in
mind that the discs do play in most DVD players with
some exceptions at present. Small run DVD discs are
produced under a different process from the
“Hollywood Entertainment Movies” that you buy in
the shops or hire from Video Libraries. These large
volume discs are produced from Glass masters and have double the capacity
of the individually recorded discs. Individual discs are “burnt”
on recorders similar to the more familiar CD-R recorders. It is not recommended
that paper labels are applied to DVD discs as they can then have playability
problems such as skipping and stuttering.
What does Absolute Coverage offer?
We produce DVD-Video discs, which play on TVs with most DVD players up to
a maximum recording time of 6 hours. Our DVDs can be as simple as a menu page
with one button to play your video (full screen, excellent quality), or with
several buttons leading to text (graphics) and video screens. We provide one
copy or unlimited duplication runs.
Whether you have a single, five-minutes sales video, or a two-hours family reunion or wedding that you need converted to DVD, we will present you with high-quality duplications.
We can transfer your family memories from any format to DVD here!
